Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ausbern, Lone Grove, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 9, 2008, in Denny’s Restaurant at the Holiday Inn in Ardmore.
The party was hosted by their children, Kendra Lindsey and her husband, Milton, Bridgeport, Texas, and Johnny Ausbern, Farmington, N.M.; and grandson Levi Lindsey, Bridgeport.
Charles Ausbern and Rosalee Hayhurst were married on Aug. 8, 1958, in Crane, Texas.
Charles worked for Phillips Petroleum Company in Crane, Odessa, Texas, and Hobbs, N.M., until retiring in 2000 after nearly 44 years. They moved to Lone Grove in 2001.
Special guests who helped celebrate their anniversary were their best man, Kenneth Sharp, and his wife, Jean, Kingfisher; and maid of honor, Peggy Tilley, and her husband, Trent, Kingston.
