Make plans now to attend the Annual Festival of Lights Silent and Live Auction on Tuesday at the Ardmore Convention Center. This auction benefits the one-and-a-half mile Festival of Lights Christmas Drive-Thru at the Regional Park.
This year, the theme of the auction is “Candyland – A Sweet Celebration of the Holidays” in honor of the 60th anniversary of the game. Parents and grandparents can easily shop for fantastic, hard-to-find toys for Christmas gifts. Some of the “hottest 25 toys for Christmas 2009” will be available. In addition, couples can plan romantic getaways, sports extravaganzas or family vacations.

Should you want to stay closer to home, take the kids or grandkids to the “Gum Drop Mountain” Great Wolf Lodge experience in Grapevine, Texas, for a water park adventure.
Do you enjoy sports? Come bid on the OU vs. OSU basketball tickets with an overnight stay at the Atherton and a $50 certificate to the Ranchers Club. Or how about Thunder tickets on the Club Level with first row seats and a parking pass included?
Take the children to see the Nutcracker Suite ballet and spend the night in Oklahoma City. Yearning for an adult evening with no responsibilities? Take the Heartland Flyer to Fort Worth, Texas, pick a concert of your choice at Billy Bob’s Texas and spend the night at the Hilton Garden Inn for a relaxing evening for two. Or want to impress that terrific lady? Take her on a 30-minute flight over the Arbuckles, a limo ride, enjoy dinner at the Cliff at Cedarvale and spend the night in the Cedarvale Mountainside Cabins. These are just a few of the live auction fantasies that will be available.
