Oklahoma Tree Photo Contest entries due in Norman Nov. 9

The Norman Park Foundation, Inc. announced the names of the five judges who will select the winners and award $1,600 in prize money for the 5th Annual Oklahoma Tree Photo Contest.


“We are grateful to have such esteemed judges this year and have expanded our panel from three to five. Our jurors are: Bob Goins, Tom Lee, Charles Rushton, Shevaun Williams, and Victor Youritzen.


Their qualifications and enthusiasm add to the energy and excitement of the event,” said foundation chairman Joyce Pitchlynn.


In addition to the judge’s awards, Pitchlynn said the contest will also feature a People’s Choice Award determined by ballot at a contest reception on Dec. 11.


Judge’s awards will also be awarded during the reception from 7-10 p.m. at First Fidelity Bank. The event will be part of  the Norman Gallery Association’s Art Walk.


The juried show will hang in the downtown bank from Nov. 16 through Dec. 11 The exhibit is open to the public.


The contest is open to professional and amateur photographers in color and black and white.

Entries are due on Nov. 9. Entries should be submitted between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Nov. 9 at Legends Times Two, 1333 W. Lindsey St. in Norman. Pitchlynn said contestants must meet the requirements stated on the application form. Entry information may be obtained by calling Joe Sparks at 364-7152.
