DAVIS — A two vehicle crash Saturday morning on State Highway 110 resulted in serious injuries for a Dougherty woman.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Sheila Gibson, 62, was taken by ambulance to Pauls Valley General Hospital and then air lifted to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City following the 8:52 a.m. crash 1.5 miles south of Davis. Gibson was reportedly admitted to the metro medical facility in stable condition with internal injuries.
A 2-year-old toddler riding in Gibson’s 2016 Honda was also taken to the Garvin County hospital where she was treated and released.
Jayson Vineyard, 18, Davis, identified as the driver of a 1995 Chevrolet was taken to Arbuckle Memorial Hospital in Sulphur where he was treated and released. Tommy Lee, 18, a passenger in Vineyard’s vehicle, was also taken to the Sulphur hospital. Lee was treated and released.
Patrol reports indicate Gibson was northbound on the highway, turned around to check on the child in her car and went left of center hitting Vineyard’s vehicle head on.
Seatbelts were in use in Gibson’s car, but Vineyard and Lee were not buckled up.
Cause of the crash is listed as inattention.
