Homegoing services to celebrate the life of Raymond “Bill” Fuller, age 79, are at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13 at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Pastor, the Rev. John Roberts officiating and Minister Virgil Jones delivering the Eulogy. Interment will follow in Clearview Cemetery.
Raymond Lee Fuller was born to Lizzie (Clay) and Roscoe Fuller in Newport. Bill graduated from Ardmore’s Douglass High School with the Class of 1957, joined the United States Army, and completed a tour in Germany before receiving an honorable discharge Sept. 17, 1963. Raymond married his high school sweetheart, the former Bennye Esther Stevenson. Two sons, Roland Bernard and Brian Rancis, were born to this union. Subsequently, Bill was employed with the Oklahoma State Employment Office and later with the Ardmore School System, where he retired.
Raymond’s passion includes fishing, dominoes, cards and watching those western movies. He departed this life in Mercy Hospital Ardmore on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, with his sons at his bedside.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers: Charlie Fred, Quincy, Eugene and Norman Fuller.
He is survived by his wife, Bennye; sons, Roland and Brian; two sisters, Willa Marshall and Cora Dokes; two brothers, Ross Lee ‘Jackie’ and Quimble Lee ‘Sonny’; two grandchildren, Briley Leigh and Labran Malik; and nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and many acquaintances.
Family and friends will serve as bearers.
Professional Services are entrusted to the care of Kirk Funeral Home. Viewal will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday.
