WILSON — Services for Lou Alice (Miller) Gregg, 74, of Wilson are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at the Rexroat Baptist Church in Wilson with Brother Jim Roebuck officiating. Interment will follow at the Leon Cemetery.
Lou was born to Burl Edward Miller and Nonnie Inez (Lane) Miller on July 12, 1942, in Jimtown, Okla. She passed away peacefully with her children by her side, and also one of her granddaughters on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Lou was raised in Jimtown, and attended Leon schools. She married Roy Victor Gregg on June 7, 1957, in Ardmore. She was an extremely caring and giving person. She was always there to do anything the church needed her to do; she donated blood and was a volunteer at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore. She was always reaching out to help where she was needed. Lou loved the outdoors especially camping. She loved attending family reunions and being around family and friends. She will be dearly missed. Lou was a member of the Rexroat Baptist Church in Wilson.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Roy Gregg; son- in-law, Ron Tilley; two sisters, Roxy Norvell and Burla Miller; and one brother, Eddie “Boop” Miller.
She is survived by daughters, Frieda Marie “Gregg” Tilley, Vickie Lou “Gregg” Wood and Donna Kay “Gregg” Shelton; son, Rodney Joe Gregg; grandchildren, Nakisha, Amber, Justin, Stevie, Jason, Toni, Lindsey and Dakota; and great-grandchildren, Ciarra, Mallory, Cayden, Damon, Landon, Madison, Avel, Trey and Christian.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gary, Larry and Ty Branch, Jason Wood, Chris Segura and Justin Sewell.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. today at Roberts Funeral Home in Healdton. Family visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. this evening at the Rexroat Baptist Church in Wilson.
