BOOKER, Texas — Craig Arthur Jenkins was born July 28, 1961, in the Hemphill County Hospital to Arthur and Grace (Corder) Jenkins.
Craig attended and graduated from Booker High School. After graduation, Craig attended trade school in Amarillo; after returning from trade school, he worked for the City of Beaver for 14 years. After his time at the City of Beaver, he moved to Sulphur, Okla., and later to Lone Grove, where he worked for SORD Disposal for the last 12 years.
Craig was baptized in the Church of Christ at an early age; he was a member of the City on the Hill Church in Ardmore. Craig always had a smile on his face and was well thought of; he was also an avid fan of OU Football.
Craig passed away on Jan. 30, 2017, in Oklahoma City. His paternal grandparents, Perry and Esther Jenkins and maternal grandparents, Virgil and Hazel Wilbarck and John Corder preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, in the Booker Church of Christ with Stan Idell and Bob Taylor officiating; interment will be immediately after the service in Sophia Cemetery in Beaver County, Okla., under the direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Service, Booker, Texas.
Survivors include: sons, Shane, Colt and Ty Jenkins; parents, Arthur and Grace Jenkins of Booker, Texas; brother, Don Jenkins and wife, Sherry of Beaver, Okla.; sisters, Darla Baird and husband, Skip of Edmond, Okla., and Diane Hill of Cheyenne, Okla.; grandchildren, Jackson and Kayle Jenkins; and many family and friends.
