Funeral services for David Joe Green, 67, are set for 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at the Corinth Baptist Church, with Abraham I. Walton officiating. Interment will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
The son of the late Jack Green and Inez S. Bennett, David was born April 22, 1949, in Sulphur, Oklahoma, and passed away on Feb. 2, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore.
David attended Sulphur Public Schools for 11 years before moving to Ardmore, where he graduated from Douglas High School in 1969. He retired as a maintenance manager of an apartment complex.
David loved cooking and good food, especially Smokin’ Joe’s Ribs. He also loved OU football and basketball, OKC Thunder, Pittsburgh Steelers, playing dominoes, listening to the blues and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors left to cherish his memory are his children; Bridgette Green, Shelly Green-Betterson (Wesley), Brett Green (Necole), David Green and Antoinette Dunn. Sisters; Mona Carter (Leonard), Joann Moore (John), Debra Woodward (Ronnie), Gloria Perry (Bill), brothers; Bert and Curtis Hamilton; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers; James, Hearl and Edward and sister, Ann.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
