Memorial services for Jimmy D. Renick, 78, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with Chaplin Steve Robinson officiating. Inurnment will follow at Hillcrest Mausoleum.
A time of visitation and support for the family will be from 6 until 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home. The son of the late Miles Adrian and Marcella Stewart Renick, Jimmy was born July 30, 1938, in Lockney, Texas, and passed from this life on Feb. 11, 2017, in a local hospital.
A graduate of Marietta High School class of 1957, he and the former Linda Banks were married May 22, 1959, in Lindsay, Okla. Jimmy worked for Uniroyal Tire now Michelin Tire Company as a control room operator. He retired after 35 years of service.
Jimmy loved working in his yard and spending time with family. He was an avid OU and Dallas Cowboy fan. He was a former member of the Ardmore Elks Lodge.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda of the home; daughters, Kim Dula and husband, James; and Melissa Streidl and husband, Patrick; sisters, Aileen Manning and Brenda Bohlander; and his grandchildren, Danielle Dula, Jeremy Dula, Kyle Martich and Emily Streidl.
Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brothers, Bennie and Danny Renick.
