KINGSTON — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a drunk driving crash Monday night on State Highway 32 resulted in a passenger being air lifted to a Plano, Texas, hospital, but the driver walked away with no apparent injuries.
The crash occurred about 6 p.m. 0.5 miles west of Kingston when Rebeca A. Weatherly reportedly became distracted as she drove a 2003 Ford pickup westbound.
Patrol reports indicate the truck partially ran off the road. Weatherly overcorrected, sending the truck off the road where it rolled 1 1/4 times before hitting a fence.
During the crash Donnell R. Leckie, Kingston, was ejected 50-feet. The 60-year-old woman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was air lifted from the scene.
She was admitted to Plano Medical Center in serious condition with multiple injuries.
Weatherly, 28, was not hurt.
The cause of the crash was listed as DUI in OHP reports.
