SPRINGER — Memorial services for Renee Boyd Swartzbaugh, 74, will be at noon Saturday, April 15, 2017, at the Springer Missionary Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. John Wylie and her family.
Renee, daughter of the late J. Phleat Boyd and Geneva Lorene (Devers) Boyd, was born July 31, 1942, at Kansas City, Mo. She passed away at her Gene Autry residence, Wednesday, April 12, 2017.
A member of the Springer Missionary Baptist Church, Renee graduated from Plainview High School, the class of 1960 and then attended Murray State College. She and Clifford Blount Swartzbaugh were married March 15, 1962, at Gainesville, Texas. Cliff died June 12, 2013.
Renee had worked as an events planner in a Denver hotel. An animal lover, she had raised many different breeds of dogs as well as llamas, donkeys and other farm animals.
Survivors include her sons, Kyle Swartzbaugh and his wife, Darla and Kelly Swartzbaugh and his wife, Michelle; a granddaughter, Kristen Greenwood and her husband, Dillen; a grandson, Hunter Swartzbaugh; her sister, Renita Chappell and husband, Kent; two brothers, Clay Boyd and his wife, Kathy and Joel Boyd and his wife, Dana; nieces, Lucy Garner, Katy and April Boyd and Melanie Loder Petty; nephews, Phleat and Josh Boyd; and a step-granddaughter, Misti Agnew.
