DAVIS — The Heartland Flyer collided with an Oklahoma Blood Institute van this evening at the Benton Street crossing.
Early reports indicate no one on the train sustained serious injury.
Davis Police Chief Danny Cooper says the crossing, located one block north of the State Highway 7 crossing, is clear. The train and the vehicle are approximately 3/4 to 1 mile north of the crossing.
Davis police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. On scene and assisting in the investigation are Davis Fire Department, Murray County Sheriff’s Department, Oklahoma Highway Patrol and a Burlington-Northern official. Cooper said other railroad investigators were en route to the scene
