DOUGHERTY — Funeral services for Eddie Max Mosley will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at the Dougherty Baptist Church with Pastors Alan McCoy and Willard McCartney, JR officiating.  Interment will follow at the Dougherty Cemetery
Eddie was born April 25, 1962, in Sulphur to Billy Max and Barbara Ann (Hale) Mosley.  He died Friday, May 12, 2017, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 55 years and 16 days.
Eddie was a lifelong resident of Dougherty.  He attended elementary school in Dougherty and high school in Davis. Following high school, Eddie joined the United State Army. Upon his discharge from the Army, he returned home to Dougherty and worked at area rock quarries and the Pauls Valley State School. He later worked as a ranch hand for the Healey’s Southern Cross Ranch for several years, prior to driving a truck both cross country and statewide. Eddie had a passion for horses. He spent several summers working as a guide for horseback trail riding in the Turner Falls area. He was also an avid fan of Harley Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed riding every chance he had. Eddie was all about his family and spending time with them.
Survivors include his loving mother, Barbara (Hale) Beal; two uncles, Mack “Sonny” Hale and wife, Carolyn and Glenn “Diddle” Hale and wife Judy, all of Dougherty; many cousins including, Karen Sosebee, Shane Hale and wife, Kim, Rhett Hale and wife, Becky, Brandy Claxton and husband, Keith, John Rheed Hale, Bree Roady and husband, Justin and Sunee Lynn Gibson and husband, Ryan, Ray and Riley Wilson, Haylee, Mollie and Coby Gibson, Hannah and Tanner Claxton, Travis Grinstead, Keith Grinstead, Brenda Pile and Teresa Hurlocker.
Eddie was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edd and Sis Hale; his father, Billy Max Mosley; his step-father, Andy Ray Beal; aunt, Shirley (Hale) Ayers; paternal grandparents, Claude and Hallie Rushing; and aunt, Velva Grinstead and husband Willard.
Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Hale, Rhett Hale, John Rheed Hale, Ray Wilson, Riley Wilson, Keith Claxton, Justin Roady, Tanner Claxton, Ryan Gibson and Coby Gibson. Honorary bearers will Ivan Frost, Victor Lucas, Donnie Busby, Dennis Baldwin and Tim Richards.
The family will receive friends, from 6-7 p.m. Monday evening, May 15, 2017, at the funeral home.
