While the competition might have been stiff this past weekend, the Ardmore Lady Thunder rose to the occasion once again.

A trip to Springdale, Arkansas for the 2017 Summer Hoops Tournament brought with it yet another piece of hardware for the squad, as they managed to claim second overall in a stacked field of teams from multiple states.

In the opening contest, the Lady Thunder faced off with the Wolfpack.

A 41-30 victory put Ardmore on the right track for the tournament.

The second game on the opening day of the tournament brought with it a challenge from WBA Missouri.

In one of the closest games the Lady Thunder have played this summer, they managed to barely come away with a 32-31 victory.

Bracket play brought with it a rematch against WBA Missouri.

The result was the same, but by a slightly larger margin as the Lady Thunder booked a place in the final round of the tournament with a 35-32 win.

In the championship round VP Tres Arkansas and the Lady Thunder were locked in an offensive struggle.

Unfortunately, the winning streak came to an abrupt end as VP Tres Arkansas claimed the title in its home state with a 32-29 victory.

The next action for the Ardmore Lady Thunder will be on July 27-30 when the Tiny Thunder will also join them for the Nationals for PrimeTime tournament in Dallas, Texas. Games will be played in the surrounding area of Dallas-Ft. Worth over the three day span.

The Ardmore Lady Thunder are coached by Josh McGee.
