Today officially marks one month left before area high school teams can officially begin practicing for the 2017 fast pitch softball season, but many teams will be getting in some preseason reps beginning at the end of June.

For the Ardmore Lady Tigers, their potential road to a state tournament berth will begin with their first summer contest on June 27 at Dickson, before hosting the FCA Tournament along with Lone Grove from June 29-30.

July will kick off with a bang for the Lady Tigers as they will host the state quarterfinalist Sulphur Lady Bulldogs on the 10th at home for a doubleheader.

On the same day, the Turner Lady Falcons will begin their quest to make it back to the state tournament, as they will be traveling to Kingston for a matchup with the Lady Redskins.

The very next day, Kingston will travel to Plainview for a contest against the Lady Indians.

July 17-18 will see the Kingston Festival take place from KHS.

Lone Grove will be hosting Sulphur on July 6, before a morning contest against Ringling takes place on July 10.

Sulphur will host its own softball festival on August 1 to close out the summer.

A road contest against the Lady Bulldogs will precede the first official practice of the season for the Lady Horns on July 12.

Ringling will begin its summer schedule at the FCA Tournament, before three straight road games against Plainview, Lone Grove and Ardmore on July 6, 10 and 13.

Three straight home games on July 21, 24, and 28 against Kingston, Sulphur and Madill will carry the Lady Devils into the August portion of the year, where RHS will finish the summer with a road game against Dickson.
