James Donald Thomas, our “Grandpa Jim,” sadly passed away June 13, 2017. He is now in heaven with his beautiful wife, Jane. He was certainly one of a kind and will be greatly missed. Jim worked for Phillips for over 40 years and lived in many places including Norway, Smithville and Katy, Texas, finally retiring in Ardmore. Jim touched many lives and made so many friends in his journey through life. He deeply loved all his four legged “critters” - Bobbie and Woofie and all the others will dearly miss their best friend.
Jim is survived by his brother, Leonard and wife, Janie of San Antonio; sister, Betty King of Wann, Okla.; daughters, Joan Rauner and husband, Ed of Ardmore, and Kari Elston and husband, Kevin of Owasso, Okla.; sons, Corey Conner and wife, Lisa of Guymon, Okla., and Brad Farrington of Bastrop, Texas; granddaughters, Ashley Niesner and husband, Chuck and Emily Miller and husband, Matt; great-granddaughter, Harper Jane of Ardmore; and 10 other grandchildren and numerous other great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Ruth Thomas of Caney, Kan.; his loving wife, Jane Ardith Thomas of Ardmore; his son, Travis Farrington; and his brother-in-law, Jerry King.
