Following a brief break to celebrate Independence Day, area softball teams will continue their preseason preparations beginning on Thursday.

Following a brief break to celebrate Independence Day, area softball teams will continue their preseason preparations beginning on Thursday.

The Ardmore Lady Tigers will remain off the rest of this week, but will return to action on July 10 at 6 p.m. against the Sulphur Lady Bulldogs from AHS.

Speaking of the Lady Bulldogs, they will be in action Thursday evening at 6 p.m. against the Lone Grove Lady Horns. The game will be the first of a long stretch of preseason summer contests for the Lady Bulldogs, who will then play three straight at home following their encounter with the Ardmore Lady Tigers.

Sulphur will host Marietta on July 11 at 10 a.m., Lone Grove at 10 a.m. on July 12, and then Plainview on July 13 also at 10 a.m.

Another team who will be in action on Thursday is the Ringling Lady Blue Devils, who will be playing against the Plainview Lady Indians at 6 p.m. from PHS. 

Ringing will then travel to take on the Lady Horns Monday morning at 10 a.m. before taking on Ardmore on July 13 at 6 p.m. 

Practice for all area teams will officially begin on July 14, with the Kingston Festival taking place on the 17-18 with multiple squads set to be in action in preparation for the upcoming season.
