MANNSVILLE — Jerry B. Pitman, 67, of Mannsville, Okla., passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017, at the Mercy Hospital in Ardmore. He was born in Bakersfield, Calif., on Oct. 15, 1949, to the late Roscoe Pitman and Maxine Coffey Pitman. Jerry was raised in Roff and Mill Creek, Okla., and graduated from Mill Creek High School in 1968. He attended ECU before going to work at Sequoia Carpet Company. In 1974, he went to work for Michelin Tire Company in Ardmore, where he worked for 38 years retiring in 2011. Jerry married Kaffie Johnson on July 17, 1971, in Connerville, Okla. He was a member of the Mannsville Assembly of God Church. Jerry enjoyed gardening, fishing, deer hunting, golfing, small engine repair and bow shooting competition. His greatest love was reading to his grandchildren and pulling them in a wagon with his lawn mower.
 He is survived by his wife, Kaffie Pitman, Mannsville; children, Scott Pitman, Dallas, Kyle Pitman and wife, Cristin, Dickson, and Krista James and husband, Matt, Mannsville; grandchildren, Korbin, Chester and Claire Pitman and Mattie and Koy James; and brothers, Gene Pitman and wife, Hanna, Tishomingo, and Gary Pitman and wife, Virgie, Mill Creek.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sue Shelton; and brother, Frank Pitman.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at the Mannsville First Assembly of God, Mannsville, Okla. Brother Gale Ellis will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Tishomingo Cemetery, Tishomingo, Okla. Music arranged by Shannon Bryan.
Casket bearers are Brett Price, Butch Sliger, George Johnson, Chino Rojas, Larry Shaw, Bobby Akins and Richard Wilburn.
