Robyn Elaine Phillips, 59, passed away peacefully Friday, July 14, in Burneyville, Okla., surrounded by the ones she loved. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19 at Calvary Christian Fellowship in Ardmore with Pastor Jody Ham officiating.

Robyn was born July 20, 1957, in Worthington, Minn., the daughter of Robert and Audrey Townsend. She married her lifetime love, Mike Phillips, June 30, 1979 and together they raised three children: Shane, 35, Julieann, 31, and Lacey, 26.

Robyn was a fighter. In 2007, she battled and overcame a devastating brain aneurysm. In 2013, she went on to bravely fight cancer. In the midst of each battle, she took no credit for her hard work and strength, but always gave all praise to God for his work in her life. She showed those around her how to fully trust God and keep your eyes fixed on Him in every circumstance.

Even while undergoing her own treatment, Robyn ministered to so many. Along with a group of praying friends, Robyn prayed over and anointed scarves that she boldly gave to others fighting the disease. Her hope and prayer was that these scarves provided healing, peace and comfort. This courageous and unshakable faith will forever be her legacy.

Robyn is survived by her husband of 38 years, Mike Phillips, of the home; son, Shane Phillips and his wife, Taylor, of Oklahoma City; daughter, Julieann Phillips and boyfriend, Matthew Dodd, of Ardmore; daughter, Lacey Reames and her husband, Terryn, of Ardmore; mother, Audrey Townsend of Acampo, Calif.; sister, Rhonda Velez and husband, Rico, of Brentwood, Calif.; brother Rodney Townsend of Waterford, Calif.; and four grandchildren: Deacon McAdoo, Marshall Dodd, Jonah Reames and Talyn Reames. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Townsend; and brother, Randy Townsend. Online condolences can be made at
