MARIETTA — Memorial services for Dorothy Inez Stinson of Marietta are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, in the Chapel of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home,  Marietta, with Larry Stinson officiating.
Miss Stinson was born December 16, 1933, in Love County, Okla., the daughter of Bennie Thomas Stinson and Viola Mae Riley Stinson. She passed away Wednesday, July 12, in LifeCare Hospital of Plano, Texas, at the age of 83.
A graduate of Greenville High School, Dorothy worked as an icing machine operator at the Marietta Cookie Factory, retiring after more than 30 years of employment. She enjoyed lottery scratch offs, computer games, crossword puzzles, and listening to old country music. Dorothy especially loved spending birthdays and holidays with her niece, Sissy and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth Stinson; sisters, Nancy Stinson and Verna Stinson; and two newborn siblings.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy Stinson of Marietta; two daughters, Linda McClain of Thackerville, and Tammy Caldwell and husband, Blaine of Marietta; four brothers, Benny Stinson and wife, Barbara of Round Rock, Texas,  James “Bud” Stinson and wife, Kay of Beeville, Texas, Billy Stinson and wife, Sandra of Jackson, Ga., and Jerry Dewayne Stinson and wife, Debbie of Ardmore; sister, Betty Smith of Crosby, Texas; eight grandchildren, Kristi, Amy, Kerry, Melissa, Eric, Kayla, Tyler, and Brianna; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Serving as honorary bearers will be Kerry Kuykendall, Eric Stinson, Tyler Caldwell, Kenny Stinson, B.J. Stinson, Robert Stinson, Billy Stinson, Michael Palmer, Bobby Wilson, Daryl Bean, and Blaine Caldwell.
