Services for Wanda Sue (Swanson) Smith will be held 11 a.m., Monday, July 24, 2017 at Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis with Pastor Eric Coker officiating.
Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.
Wanda was born August 8, 1937 in Duncan, Okla. to the late Judson and Vera (Surginer) Swanson. She died Friday, July 21, 2017 in Sulphur at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 13 days. Wanda grew up in the Davis/Velma area, attending high school in Woodland.
Following her marriage, she spent several years working as a beautician in Davis, prior to managing the Alameda Club for a few years. Later, Wanda became a Licensed Certified Nurse’s Aide, working in home health care. Following her retirement in 2009, Wanda enjoyed gardening, playing computer games, watching her daily soap operas and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Molly Jones and husband Joe of Ardmore, Martha Casey and husband David of Hennepin and Judy Cline of Davis; one son, Arthur Garrison of Nevada; as well as five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Smith and one brother Kenneth Swanson.
Services are “Entrusted To” HALE’S Funeral Home of Davis, Okla.
