Jacqueline Mae Wood, age 62, passed away on July 31, 2017 at Edmond, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 4, 2017, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest with the Reverend Ted Clark Jr. officiating. Private interment at Woodford Cemetery.
Jacqueline was born in Tyler, Texas on January 3, 1955, to Argus Johnston and Ruby Johnston. She married Billy Wood on July 3, 1972 in Ardmore. She attended Ardmore Schools. Her hobbies included fishing and working in the yard. Jacqueline played the keyboard at the West Gate Christian Center Church, was a lay minister, took care of the church’s books and had many other church duties.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Billy Wood Jr.; and one sister, Jean Ann Johnston. Jacqueline is survived by her husband Billy Wood; four sons, John Carl Wood, of Ardmore, Joseph Kevin Wood, of Ardmore, David Doyle Wood, of Moore, Okla., and Andrew Jackson Wood, of Ardmore; two sisters, Charlotte Owens and Eva Dickason; seven brothers: Charles Seely, Troy Seely, Jeff Dubree, Tony Seely, Ronnie Dubree, Billy Seely and Robert Seely; and eight grandchildren: Madisen, Adam, Ruby, Dillin, Meghan, Alyssa, Jericho and Elias. Pallbearers will be Alvin Hill, Ezekial Pierce, Dillin Wood, John Wood, Adam Wood, Billy Dwaine Wood and Melody May. Condolences may be left at www.griffinhillcrest.com.
