On August 4, 2017, I lost my best friend, my husband George Anderson. He was the most amazing man I’ve ever known. He was the best dad to my children. He loved his children and grandchildren very much. In fact, I would say he was loved by everyone he encountered. The love he gave was unconditional. He was kind, loving, and always funny, a heart of gold and temperament of an angel. We will miss him so much. Until we meet again, may he be never forgotten and always missed.
George was born and raised in Long Beach, California. He graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic High in 1978. Shortly after high school he joined the military, serving as a staff sergeant from 1980-1988. Afterwards, he took a contracting position for Summit Technologies in Lawton, Okla. In 1994, he met his wife Anja. They moved to Chickasha, Okla. to raise their family. On February 10th, 1999 they would officially tie the knot. Soon after their daughters left the nest, George and his wife moved to Ardmore where he would work at Michelin until he wasn’t able. George will be sent home on August 9, 2017. The family will hold a memorial service in his honor at their home.
George was preceded in death by his mother; and grandparents.
