In the early morning hours of August 7, 2017, Michael Allen Castellow, husband of Patricia Ann, lost his battle with cancer at the family home in Ardmore and was reunited with his mother, sister and many other loved ones whom had gone before him to join our Savior in Heaven.
Mike was born March 11, 1946, in Shawnee, Okla. to Dora Mae Winsett Castellow and Paul Castellow.
Mike and his wife Patricia began their life together on September 5th, 1965, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church of Shawnee. Together, they settled in Ardmore in 1970 and called it home for 47 years. Michael was a 1964 graduate of Shawnee High School, and then pursued additional education at Southwest Technical Institute where he received his certificate as a certified draftsman. He became an electrical contractor and began his own electric company in 1978, primarily serving the oil and gas industry.
Mike and Patricia had two sons together, Christopher Allen and Gregory Michael. Chris now lives with his wife Niki and three children, Tessa Ann, Kaylee Dawn, and Michael Jay in Little Elm, Texas; Greg and his wife Andrea live in Ardmore with two sons, Carter Zane and Tristen Michael.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Doris Melot.
Left behind to grieve him is his wife, of 51 years, Patricia; his two sons; five grandchildren; a sister, Paulette Chambers of Shawnee; several nephews and nieces; and countless friends of the Ardmore community as well as professional colleagues throughout the state. His only regret in life is that there’s never enough time to spend with loved ones. Michael Allen Castellow will always be remembered for his generosity, kindness, and his endless willingness to offer a helping hand.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, August 11, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church of Ardmore with the Rev. David Daniel and the Rev. Dan Patman officiating.
Memorial donations can be made in lieu of flowers to Cross Point Camp in care of the First United Methodist Church, Ardmore, OK, 73402.
