Dr. Alton Fannin will officiate at a Gathering of Remembrance in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey Douglas Funeral Home at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 12, 2017 for Doris Christine Boley.
Doris was born to the late Pete and Francis (Woodcock) Madderra, on December 15, 1935, at the rural residence of her parents in Loves Valley, east of Marietta. She passed from this life, to life everlasting at the local hospital in Ardmore, Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at the age of 81 years 7 months and 24 days.
During her youth the family moved to Modesto, Calif., and after a few years returned to Love County, where she had lived most of her life. A member of the First Baptist Church, Doris had worked at Weber Aircraft and also had an upholstery business for a few years. But most of all she enjoyed being a homemaker, raising her and Kenneth’s two sons, Lawrence and Curtis.
Doris is survived by her husband, Kenneth; sons, Lawrence Boley of Ardmore, Curtis Boley and wife, Leslie, of Owasso, Okla., and Jana Bryant of Ardmore, who she loved as a daughter; a brother, Bud Madderra of Modesto, Calif.; sister, Jenny Burkholder of Florida; her grandchildren, Laura Burns, Jennifer Stepp and husband, Aaron, Justus Boley and wife, Jennifer, Jaxon and ZoeKate Boley; also her great-grandchildren, Cade Raines, Raigan, Addison and Palmer Stepp, Logan and Gavin Boley.
In addition to her parents,  Doris was preceded in death by two brothers, J. C. and Delbert Madderra. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Missions of First Baptist Church.
