Linda Anita Dean was born August 20, 1945, in Ardmore to the late Eulis David Harrington, Sr. and Clara Lee Ellis Harrington.
Of Methodist Faith, Linda married Charles “Deano” Dean June 21, 1985, in Ardmore. They were the parents of a beautiful daughter, Margaret. Linda was a faithful wife, a loving mother and an excellent housekeeper.
Linda attended Dunbar Elementary and graduated from Douglass High School with “The Best of the Best, that didn’t take no mess”, the class of 1964.
Linda worked tirelessly to become a registered phlebotomist at Mercy Memorial Hospital — a position she held for more than twenty years. She then spent many treasured hours volunteering at the hospital’s gift shop with a group of wonderful ladies. Linda shared countless joyful conversations, full of laughter, with Ms. Shirley.
After a lengthy climb to glory, Linda departed this life Monday, August 14, 2017. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eulis David “Buddy” Harrington, Jr.
Surviving to forever cherish her precious memories are her loving husband, “Deano” Dean of the home; her daughter, Margaret Knight and husband, George; her sister, Wanda Knight; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A time of visitation and support for family and friends has been set from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 18, 2017, at Harvey Douglas Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2017, in the Warren Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Cyvil Burks officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Condolences to the family may be sent online at www.hdouglasfunerlahome.com.
