TISHOMINGO — While the Turner Lady Falcons perfect start to the season might have come to an end this past weekend, they made up for it in a big way.

TISHOMINGO — While the Turner Lady Falcons perfect start to the season might have come to an end this past weekend, they made up for it in a big way.

THS finished the Tishmingo Tournament with four victories, moving them to 9-1 on the season.

The Lady Falcons will be on the road Tuesday afternoon at Thackerville.

 

Turner 5
Marietta 0

Four straight innings of scoring were enough to give the Lady Falcons an opening round victory over the Marietta Lady Indians Friday morning.

Rylee Carter scored on an error in the first inning, before Kaylee Colston made it 2-0 with an RBI single to center in the second.

Ryleigh Parker scored on an error in the third, before hitting a two-RBI single to center to finish the scoring in the fourth.

Carslee Minyard took the loss for the Lady Indians in the contest. 

Allí Willis got the win on the mound for the Lady Falcons, throwing five innings of work. She allowed four hits with four strikeouts and one walk.

Antlers 7 THS 0

It’s not often the Lady Falcons are defeated. Something which happens even less is the Lady Falcons being shutout.

Both things happened Friday afternoon as the Antlers Lady Cats used a five run third inning to claim victory.

Allí Willis took the loss on the mound for Turner, throwing four innings of work. She allowed six earned runs on 11 hits with four strikeouts.

 

Turner 9
Milburn 0

Normal service was resumed Saturday morning as the Lady Falcons handled Milburn.

Chole Tynes and Ryleigh Parker combined for an RBI hit each in the first inning to put Turner up 2-0.

Rylee Carter’s sacrifice bunt allowed Calli Hawkins to score, before Tynes hit another RBI single to make it 4-0 in the second. She would later score on a steal of home.

Hillary Hill made it 6-0 with an RBI single.

Tunes and Jaleigh Durst combined to make it 8-0 in the bottom of the third with a pair of RBI hits, with Tynes’ being a triple to right.

Ally Brown scored on a passed ball to finish the scoring in the fourth.

Durant JV 1

Despite going against a Class 5A junior varsity squad, Turner had no problem against the Durant Lady Lions, winning by four runs.

DHS took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, before Turner tied the game with an RBI triple from Jaleigh Durst, before Alli Willis gave the Lady Falcons the lead with an RBI single to center.

Rylee Carter and Durst combined to make it a 4-1 lead in the second inning with each player earning an RBI hit.

Ryleigh Parker made it 5-1 for Turner in the fourth with an RBI single.

Parker took the win in the circle for the Lady Falcons, throwing five innings of work. She allowed one earned run on one hit with three walks and six strikeouts.

Dickson 1

In the finale, the Lady Falcons claimed a victory over the Dickson Lady Comets.

An RBI groundout from Ryleigh Parker combined with an RBI single from Alli Willis made it 2-0 for Turner in the first inning.

Keely King made it 2-1 for the Lady Comets in the bottom of the second with an RBI single which scored Kylie Farmer.

Once again though, it was Parker and Willis combining to give Turner a cushion in the fourth as each player hit a two-RBI hit to make it a 6-1 advantage for THS.

Willis got the win on the mound for the Lady Falcons, throwing four innings of work. She allowed one run (0 earned) on six hits with one walk and one strikeout.

Shanna McKown took the loss in the circle for the Lady Comets allowing six earned runs on 14 hits with three strikeouts in the game.
