It might seem like an eternity has passed since the Ardmore Lady Tigers last took the field.

It might seem like an eternity has passed since the Ardmore Lady Tigers last took the field.

Monday afternoon though, they showed no signs of any possible rust.

Three innings was all AHS needed to claim a comfortable 16-0 victory over the Marietta Lady Indians at the Ardmore softball complex.

There was also the small matter of Lexi Duff throwing a perfect game on the afternoon.

Ardmore (4-3) will be back at home this afternoon taking on Little Elm, while Marietta (0-10) will be hosting Atoka and Waurika today with games beginning at 4 p.m.

Lauren Blankenship got the rout started with an RBI single off the wall in center field in the bottom of the first, before the advantage was doubled through an RBI single from Makila Case.

Avery Lowe made it 4-0 when she slapped an RBI single off a line drive to left.

Chole Pender got in on the action with a two-RBI single to left in the bottom of the second.

A bases loaded walk drawn by Madisen Moore brought home Shakira Smith, before Pender scored on a steal of home to make it 8-0.

Emma Nightengale then hit a ground ball which resulted in an error, allowing Blankenship to score.

Moore would score on a passed ball to make it 10-0, before Duff smacked a two-RBI triple to right field.

Smith then registered another RBI, before Blankenship collected a two-RBI double. She would later score on an error.

Duff threw just three innings of work, striking out six batters.

Carslee Minyard took the loss on the mound for Marietta.
