MARIETTA — With a busy week ahead of them both, the Ringling Lady Blue Devils and Davis Lady Wolves made their way to Marietta Monday afternoon for a triangular.

Unfortunately for the Lady Indians, their guests were less than pleasant to deal with as MHS suffered a pair of losses on the day.

Three innings and a solid no-hit pitching performance from Rayme Tolliver was all No. 13 Ringling needed against Marietta in the opening contest.

RHS got four runs in the first, seven in the second and three more in the third to seal the victory.

Steele Price and Rayme Tolliver got the Lady Blue Devils on the board with a pair of RBI singles in the top of the first inning.

Sydney Southward scored when Presley Reid was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, before Kelsea Thompson scored following a bases loaded walk drawn by Codi Tolliver.

Raylee Pogue made it 5-0 in the second with an RBI double, before Rayme Tolliver increased the advantage to 7-0 with a two-RBI double to left.

Thompson would later score on a steal of home, before Codi Tolliver and London Lewis combined to make it a 10-0 lead for the Lady Blue Devils.

Pogue added one more RBI single in the second inning.

Two hit by pitches with the bases loaded along with another bases loaded walk finished the game off in the third inning.

Rhyme Tolliver struck out one batter in her three inning no-hitter.

Carslee Minyard took the loss for Marietta, allowing eight hits with seven walks and one strikeout.

In a battle against two high-powered offenses, it was the Lady Wolves getting the last word in over Ringling in the second game of the day at Marietta.

Davis took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning when Brinlee Dulaney hit a fly ball which dropped in right field, allowing Sydney Martin to score.

For the next few innings, it was all quiet, until Ringling made some noise of its own in the bottom of the fourth.

A steal of home by Raylee Pogue tied the game at 1-1, before RHS took the lead when a sacrifice bunt from Codi Tolliver resulted in an error, allowing Presley Reid to score in the bottom of the fifth.

London Lewis made it 3-1 with an RBI single to right field in the same inning.

But, the Lady Wolves had an immediate response in the top of the sixth when Hannah Koch slapped a two-RBI single to center to tie the game at 3-3.

Sydney Martin put Davis in front with an RBI double to left field in the same frame.

Lauren Son gave the Lady Wolves some breathing room with an RBI single, before Riley Webber put DHS up 7-3 with a two-RBI triple to right.

Steele Price got Ringling within three runs at 7-4 with an RBI double to center in the bottom of the seventh, and RHS had a chance to cut further into the deficit with the bases loaded and one out.

But, back-to-back fly outs ended the Lady Blue Devils threat.

Son got the win on the mound for the Lady Wolves, throwing a complete game. She allowed just two earned runs on nine hits with one walk and six strikeouts.

Rayme Tolliver took the loss for Ringling, throwing a complete game. 

She allowed six earned runs on nine hits with five walks and 11 strikeouts.

Davis finished off a two-game sweep with a run-rule victory over Marietta in the last game of the day.

After the game was tied at 2-2 following the first inning, the Lady Wolves took control with a seven-run third inning.

Marietta got a run back in the bottom of the third, before the Lady Wolves finished the game off with four more runs in the top of the fourth.

Lauren Son and Sydney Martin each hit a pair of RBI’s in the game for the Lady Wolves.

Allison Hicks took the loss on the mound for the Lady Indians. while Lauren Son got the win on the hill for the Lady Wolves.
