After being dealt a humbling run-rule defeat at the hands of Wapanucka on Friday, the Turner Falcons dusted themselves off on Monday afternoon.

After being dealt a humbling run-rule defeat at the hands of Wapanucka on Friday, the Turner Falcons dusted themselves off on Monday afternoon.

THS came back with a strong response as the Falcons produced a run-rule victory of their own with an 11-1 victory over Achille in four innings.

The win was the second in three games for the Falcons during their current run of the season. 

Tyler Campbell put Turner on the board with an RBI single to left in the top of the first inning, and he would later later score on an error. 

Dawson Wright finished off the inning with an RBI single scoring Ridge Parker.

Campbell struck again in the second with a fielder’s choice RBI, before Wright scored on an error in the third to make it a 5-0 Falcons advantage.

Colton Empey added a fielder’s choice RBI of his own, padding the advantage to 6-0 over AHS in the game.

Campbell kept up his strong day at the plate when he collected another RBI single, this one on a line drive to left.

Ridge Parker then broke the game open with a two-RBI single to right field, making it a commanding 9-0 lead for the Falcons.

Chase Greenwood made it 10-0 with an RBI double, before Wright capped off the inning for THS with another RBI, which allowed Parker to score following an error. 

AHS scored one run in the bottom of the fourth, but the rally fell short.

Chase Greenwood got the win on the mound for the Falcons (5-3), throwing one inning of work. He allowed just one hit with one walk and two strikeouts.

Levi Curbow threw two innings in the contest allowing just one hit with three walks and three strikeouts.

Tyler Campbell threw 2/3 of an inning in the game for the Falcons, allowing one run (0 earned) with one walk in the contest for the Falcons against AHS.
