TISHOMINGO — Two are dead after a Mitsubishi Outlander struck a Chrysler 300 head-on late Tuesday evening while driving down U.S. Route 377, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
James Droddy, a 20-year-old Kingston man, was southbound when trooper reports say he drove his Outlander over the center of the of highway, colliding with Sharesa Armstrong, a 28-year-old Tishomingo woman, driving northbound.
Both vehicles engulfed in flames and were pinned together for an undetermined amount of time, trapping the two, according to the report. Tishomingo Fire Department extricated the victims using the Jaws of Life.
The report did not say if drugs or alcohol were involved or what caused the incident. Oklahoma Highway Patrol did not return a phone call by press time.
