With the district tournament on the horizon, the Turner Falcons got a little tuneup on Thursday.

An eight run first inning sent THS on its way, as a 12-2 victory in four innings was earned at home against Colbert.

CHS took the lead in the top of the first inning, before Turner responded in a big way.

Ridge Parker gave the Falcons the lead with a two-RBI single to left, before Chase Greenwood made it 3-1 with an RBI single to left.

Levi Curbow scored to make it 4-1 after Lane Carter drew a bases loaded walk, before Justice Hartman was hit by a pitch, allowing Chase Greenwood to score.

Cole Greenwood then hit a line drive, which resulted in an error, and three runs to score.

Colbert got a run back in the third inning, before THS once again responded.

Chase Greenwood and Tyler Campbell hit back-to-back RBI doubles, with Greenwood’s scoring two runs to make it 11-2.

Levi Curbow grounded into a double play, but not before he scored a run to finish off the third inning.

Ridge Parker, Justice Hartman, Colton Empey and Hunter Johnson each threw an inning of work. The four pitchers combined for seven strikeouts, allowing just two hits with one earned run and five walks.

As for the upcoming district tournament, the Falcons were drawn with Vanoss, and No. 3 Roff.

All games will take place from Roff High School, with the tournament being a double elimination format.
