For the third straight year Friday afternoon, the No. 6 Turner Lady Falcons played in the Class B state semifinals.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t to be a third straight trip to the state finals.

Despite a late rally, the Lady Falcons (20-10) weren’t able to take down No. 1 Arnett, as they fell in a narrow contest 3-2 at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.

Brooke Coykendall put AHS in the lead in the bottom of the third inning with an RBI double to center field.

In the bottom of the fifth, Arnett increased its lead to 3-0 when Carli Word stole home, before Bailey Robertson slapped an RBI single to center.

However, Turner wasn’t about to go down without a fight.

Hannah Gilbreath stepped up to the plate in the top of the sixth and collected a two-RBI double to right field, scoring Jaleigh Durst and Chole Tynes.

Alli Willis took the loss on the mound for Turner, allowing three earned runs on 10 hits with two strikeouts and one walk.
