A visitation for family and friends for Roger Hamilton Ramsey, 66, of Ardmore, Okla., will be Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home.
Roger was born May 21, 1951, in Tulsa, Okla., to George Hamilton Ramsey and Merrily Thielecke Ramsey.  He passed from this life on Oct. 9, 2017, at his residence in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Roger moved to Ardmore at a young age.  He became a Boy Scout under Scout Master George and enjoyed everything he learned from him.  During high school he worked for L.O. Hammons and was always considered to be one of the best dressed guys at school.  Roger was always working on various art projects and graduated from Ardmore High School in 1969.
His free spirit led him to “Woodstock” in August of 1969.  He then attended The University of Oklahoma for a brief time then moved on to Austin, Texas.  One of Roger’s fondest memories there was when he was listening to a band and went outside to the alley to smoke. There he ran into Willie Nelson, they shared a laugh and a cigarette.
Roger would keep the room laughing and lit up with his impersonation of Donald Duck.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Merrily; Special cousin Andy Tindale; Sister-in-law, Janie Ramsey.
Roger is survived by his Sister, Holly Offield and husband, Joy of Lone Grove, Okla.; Brother, David Ramsey of Dallas, Texas; Cousin, Janice Tindale of Ardmore, Okla.; Nephews, Matthew Ramsey and his wife, Holly of Dallas, Texas; Joshua Ramsey and his wife, Halcyon of McKinney, Texas; numerous Great-Nieces; 1 Great-Nephew and many friends.  Online condolences may be made at www.craddockfuneralhome.com.
