Dorothy Belle Burris, 86, of Madill, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017 at the Brookside Nursing Center in Madill.  She was born on July 27, 1931, in Durwood, Oklahoma, to the late Richard Taylor and Rody Lewis Taylor.  Dorothy was raised in Durwood and later in Ardmore, Oklahoma, where she attended Carter Seminary. She attended the Durwood Baptist Church and enjoyed going to the all-night singings.  Dorothy loved working puzzles, shopping with the family, tending to her flowers in the garden and watching her grandsons play softball.  Her greatest love was spoiling her grandkids and great grandkids.    
She is survived by children: Bobby Taylor and wife Marilyn, Atoka, Oklahoma, Joe Burris, Madill, Oklahoma,   Bonnie Hernandez and husband Enrique, Madill, Oklahoma,   Glenda Burris, Madill, Oklahoma,  seven  grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, Sister: Velma Zamarron, Ardmore, Oklahoma, and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, daughter; Louella Faye, three brothers: Amos, Odis and Morris, and two sisters; Etta and Helen.  
Visitation will be Thursday at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a family hour from 6 p.m. to 8  p.m. 
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at the Durwood Baptist Church, Durwood, Oklahoma. Sister Kaye Williams will officiate the service. Music arranged by the Durwood Baptist Church Choir.  Interment will be at the Nelda Cemetery, Nelda, Oklahoma.  Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma.
