Funeral services for Sandra Lee Alderman, 64, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home and Crematory, conducted by Rev. Morgan Ashworth.  
A time of visitation and support for family and friends will be Thursday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
Sandra was born Nov. 10, 1952, at Charles City, Iowa. The daughter of Donald Charles and Mary Lou (Fiser) Paulus, Sr., she grew up and graduated high school in Iowa and later attained an Associate’s Degree.
Sandra and Larry Alderman were married Aug. 22, 1970, at Waterloo, Iowa, and had celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary earlier this year.  The family moved to Lone Grove, in 1985, from Waterloo, Iowa.
In Ardmore Sandra began a 22-year career at Whispering Oaks Nursing Home, where she was the dietary manager. She cared for the needs of others, unselfishly giving without tiring, even in weakness and frailty, when all she had to give was her beautiful smile to brighten someone’s day.
After a valiant battle with cancer, Sandra passed away Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, at her Lone Grove residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Larry Alderman of the home; her mother, Mary Lou Paulus, Oklahoma City; her children, Teresa Alderman, Moore, Oklahoma, Michelle Lucas, Oklahoma City, Jamie Harris, Ardmore, Lorie Pierce and her husband, Chase, of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Melanie Holman and husband, Kale, Brian Harris and wife, Miranda, Justin Harris, Jr., Dylan Barger, Katelyn  Irby, Daniel Harris, and Carter Pierce; great grandchildren, Amari Holman, Acheron Harris and Raven Harris; also three brother-in-laws, three sister-in-laws, numerous nephews, cousins and special friends.
Her father, Donald Charles Paulus, Sr., brothers, Donald Paulus, Jr., Micheal Paulus, Francis Paulus, Jeffrey Paulus and son-in-law, Ronald Lucas preceded her in death.
