Ardmore native, Claude Roland Howard, 52, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017, at Mercy Hospital.  He was born to Bobby Gene "Pete" Howard and Gladys Lorene (Sears) Howard, Dec. 4, 1964.  His father, "Pete" Howard, preceded him in death, Sept. 15, 2010.
Claude grew up here and was a member of Ardmore High School class of 1983. A welder and metal fabricator, he was a kind and gentle person who enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends.
Claude is survived by his mother, Lorene Howard, Marietta, Oklahoma; two sons, Claude Howard, Jr. and Aaron Howard of Ardmore; two daughters, Amy Snyder and husband, Shane, of Norman, and Jamie Windham-Howard of Ardmore; also a sister, Cathy Valley and husband, Robert, of Sherman, Texas, and a brother, William Howard of Ardmore.
Chaplain Matt Benedick will officiate funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home and Crematory.  Burial will follow at the Dougherty Cemetery, with the assistance of Tommy Skinner, Justin Gilbert, Tony Loftis, Johnny Avery, Joe Windham and Teddy Smith serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Claude may be made to Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home, to assist the family in defraying final expenses.
