Forrest Lynn Boyer, 72, of Ardmore, died suddenly at his home on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017.
He was a proud veteran who served his country in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s Degree (EG, BA, AB, BS).  
A resident of Ardmore since 1968, Lynn was a hard working entrepreneur and owner of Lynn Boyer, Inc. He was a well respected businessman, who gained a reputation as a fair and loyal employer and a generous supporter of his community.   He was the unofficial “mayor” of his beloved Lake Murray, where he spent many joyful days and nights with friends and family for over 40 yrs.  He was also a devoted family man and loving husband whose grandchildren referred to affectionately as Grumpy.
Lynn is survived by his wife Kathryn Boyer, his sons, Shawn Boyer and wife Holly; Clint Boyer, Dean Hopper; daughter, Kim Dillon and husband Marty; his sister, Yvette Thomason, five grandchildren, Kelsey, Jarod, Collin, Cole and Kaden and four great grandchildren, Kason, Beau, Blakelyn,  and Bentley.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn Boyer and Vandetta Wayne Boyer.                                                                                                                                           A Celebration of Life will be held in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Monday November 6, 2017.  Celebrant will be Father Randy Simmons.
