While the Turner Lady Falcons have been more than thankful for their solid start to the season, Tuesday night, Colbert gave them a less than favorable gift.

CHS managed to do just enough as the Lady Leopards stopped the Lady Falcons two game winning streak, by a score of 49-47 at Colbert.

Following the first quarter, Turner held an 11-9 advantage.

However, the Lady Leopards managed to outscore the Lady Falcons before halftime with a 12-6 run, leading to a 21-17 deficit as the teams went to the locker room.

After the break, Turner (2-1) managed to get back into the game with a 14-12 third quarter, but was outscored in the fourth 16-13, giving the Lady Falcons their first defeat this season.

Rylee Carter led the Lady Falcons with 15 points, followed by Alli Willis with 11 points.

Jaleigh Durst added six points along with Hannah Gilbreath.

Ryleigh Parker scored five points for the Lady Falcons.

It was much of the same for the Falcons in the night cap, as they were denied a second victory of the season by the Leopards falling 37-33.

Tyler Campbell led the Falcons (1-2) with 12 points followed by Justice Hartman with nine points.

Ridge Parker scored six points, with Levi Curbow putting in four points.

Both Turner teams will be back at home Friday night taking on Wilson with games beginning at 6:30 p.m followed by the boys at 8 p.m.
