After suffering their first defeat of the season earlier in the week, the Turner Lady Falcons made sure to avoid beginning a losing streak Friday night.

A low-scoring affair against the Wilson Lady Eagles might not have been an offensive masterpiece, but it was enough for THS to claim a 25-15 victory, moving to 3-1 on the season.

Each team scored six points in the opening quarter, with the Lady Falcons taking a 14-10 lead into the locker room for halftime.

Turner managed to outscore Wilson 3-2 in the third quarter, before finishing off the game with an 8-3 run in the fourth.

Ryleigh Parker led the Lady Falcons with 10 points followed by Alli Willis with six points and Jaleigh Durst with three points.

Wilson’s leading scorers were not available as of press time.

In the boys contest, the Turner Falcons evened their record at 2-2 with a 52-46 victory over Wilson.

Tyler Campbell led the way for THS with 25 points followed by Justice Hartman with 13 points.

The Eagles (0-1) were led by Carson Fulton with 17 points followed by Kyle Honea with 12 and Logan Schaaf with nine points.

Turner will be back in action Nov. 28 against Healdton at home, while Wilson will take on Wayne the same night  at home with the girls games set to begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by the boys game at 8 p.m.

Thackerville 51 Mill Creek 46

It was a successful opening night for the Thackerville Lady Wildcats as they claimed a five point victory at home over Mill Creek.

THS led 15-12 after the first quarter, before outscoring MCHS 15-9 before half to claim a 30-21 advantage.

Mill Creek outscored Thackerville 13-10 in the third quarter, before MCHS outscored the Lady Wildcats in the fourth 12-11.

Kyra Shelton led the scoring with 21 points followed by Shelbi Scarbrough with 14 points. 

Sadi Morgan put in 11 points.
