In a back and forth encounter, it was the Sulphur Lady Bulldogs managing to hold off the Dickson Lady Comets Saturday night 58-51 at Wildcat Fieldhouse.

Both teams finished with four players scoring in double figures, as they traded the lead multiple times in the second half. 

Sulphur led 18-10 at the end of the first quarter, having led by as many as nine over the Lady Comets.

Dickson rallied in the second quarter, managing to get within three points at the break, 25-22.

In the second half the Lady Comets managed to take the lead at 27-25 with six minutes remaining in the quarter.

However, this time around it was the Lady Comets who relinquished a 35-30 advantage, leading to a 39-35 Lady Bulldogs lead going into the fourth quarter.

The Lady Bulldogs managed to take the lead with a 4-0 run after tying the game at 35-35 with 1:43 left in the third quarter.

Sulphur appeared to have the game in hand with less than six minutes to play in regulation, but the Lady Comets made things interesting.

Unfortunately, 44-43 was as close as Dickson got to overtaking Sulphur in the fourth quarter, as the Lady Bulldogs closed the game out on a 14-8 run to remain undefeated on the season.

Logan Gentry led Sulphur with 12 points in the contest, while Kady Lynch added 11 points.

Harley Beesley and Paige Lee both scored 10 points apiece.

Dickson was led by Clary Donica and Landri McClure each with 12 points.

Hailey Davis added 11 points while Keely King scored 10 points for the Lady Comets (3-3) in the contest.

Sulphur moved to 4-0 on the season.
