Saturday night, the IWR will return to the area, making a stop in Dickson, but the cause is a much different one this time around, and will target a much younger audience.

“Christmas Star Wars” will take place at the Dickson High School Gymnasium, with the event benefitting Toys for Tots. All adults will earn free admission to the event with a new unwrapped toy if they bring it to the door with them Saturday night.

“Christmas is truly about giving, not getting,” IWR CEO Jerry Bostic said. “This is a great opportunity for us to not only come together as wrestling fans, but as families as well. We’re not just putting on a wrestling event, we’re doing something which ensures children will be able to have a Merry Christmas this year. It’s always special being able to give back to the children from the area.”

The event will also mark a special homecoming for the Arrow Club’s “Ky-ote” (Joe Herrell), who played high school football as a member of the Comets, along with graduating from Dickson High School.

Ky-ote’s opponent will be none other than former WWE superstar John Morrison, as the two will have their first match together since 2015.

Ringling’s own Dane Griffin will also be in action as he will look for revenge against IWR Champion Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) with the title on the line.

Sulphur’s El Fuego Del Sol will also be in action at the event, along with Chandler “The Truth” Hopkins defending his IWR Revolutionary Title against Chavo Guerrero Jr. for the first time ever.

There will also be new talent debuting in the form of Shara Se7en, Britt Baker, and Kamilla Kaine.

“I’d like to thank Dot Foods for helping sponsor this event the last four years,” Bostic added. “This is going to be a wonderful show, and we’d love everyone to come out and donate a toy as well as enjoy some fantastic wrestling action.”

Kids 12 and under are admitted free to the event.
