Friday night the No. 3 team in Class 4A moved to 5-0 on the season with a 66-31 victory on the road against the McAlester Lady Buffaloes.

Ardmore got out in front with a 14-6 first quarter run, before the Lady Tigers outscored 

MHS 17-14 to lead 31-20 at the halftime break.

A 16-7 run by the Lady Tigers in the third quarter put the game out of reach, as Ardmore finished the game off with a 19-4 fourth quarter.

J’Sades Ainsworth led the scoring with 24 points followed by Shakira Smith with 12 points.

Sierra Gordon added nine points in the victory.

Ardmore will be off until the annual Holiday Classic tournament which begins on Dec. 28.

Velma-Alma 60 Healdton 42

Healdton’s four game winning streak was snapped Friday night, as the Velma-Alma Lady Comets handed the Lady Bulldogs only their second defeat of the season.

Despite outscoring the Lady Comets 13-12 in the first quarter, it was a 12-11 second quarter by Velma-Alma which put Healdton in a tie at the break at 24-24.

V-A broke open the game in the third with a 22-9 run, before closing the contest on a 14-9 fourth quarter run.

Bali Thompson led Healdton with 13 points, with Torree Wingo scoring 11 points.

Macey Howell scored seven points.

Healdton (8-2) will take on Marietta Monday evening.

Christian 32

Make it four straight victories for the Wilson Lady Eagles, as they claimed a victory over Wichita Christian Friday night at home.

Wilson opened the game with an 18-7 first quarter run, before outscoring WCHS 8-5 before halftime.

The Lady Eagles held Wichita Christian to just six points in the third quarter, while scoring 11 of their own.

Wilson was outscored 14-8 in the fourth quarter.

Lexy Hodges led the Lady Eagles with 13 points followed by Makayla Raines with nine points.

Brianna Way and Taylor Wolf each scored eight points.

Wilson will be at Thackerville Monday evening.

In other girls action from Friday night, the Dickson Lady Comets were defeated at home by the Kingston Lady Redskins 72-31, dropping them to 4-4 on the season.
