Tuesday night the Indians traveled to Byng, and improved to 5-1 overall with a convincing 66-59 victory.

However, it was the Pirates jumping out to the early 16-14 advantage at the end of the first quarter.

After an 20-16 second quarter in favor of the Indians, Plainview managed to grab a 34-32 advantage going into the halftime break.

Plainview kept its momentum in the third quarter, outscoring the Pirates 16-12.

In the fourth quarter the Indians outscored the Pirates 16-15 to seal the victory.

Blake Nowell led Plainview with 17 points in the game followed by Taylon Chambers with 16 points.

Plainview will be off until Jan. 2 when the Indians welcome the Davis Wolves to the Plainview Activity Center. The Indians will then play in the Longhorn Invitational beginning on Jan. 4.
