The daughter of Cecil & Hazle Martin, born  March 15, 1927 in Chickasha, Okla., and passed from this life Dec. 24, 2017.
Married the love of her life, Douglas Morris, July 28, 1949.  Her childhood life was spent on the family farm near Chickasha, Okla.
Clariece was a graduate of Pioneer High School and Oklahoma
College for Women, Grady County, Okla.  She spent many years teaching fourth grade. Retired from Ardmore City Schools in 1986. She was a member of the Oklahoma Retired Teachers Association and The Carter County Retired Teachers Association.
She was an avid Bible reader, and a long time member of the Primitive Baptist Church, and enjoyed attending many special church meetings in numerous states. Her favorite Bible Verses were: John-Chapter 14- verses one thru four.   
The couple loved traveling in most of the continental U.S, plus some of Canada & Mexico.   
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and will be missed by many. She was a talented seamstress and quilt maker. She made quilts and clothes for her children, and for herself. She was an outstanding cook.  
Preceding her in death were her husband, Douglas Morris, parents, Cecil & Hazle Martin, and her brother, Lelan Kim Martin.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamala Bates, Ocean Spring, Miss, son, Terry W. Morris and his wife, Belinda, Lone Grove, Okla.,  two grandsons, Clayton Bates of Mobile, Ala., and Tyler Morris, Denver, Colo.,  one granddaughter, Crystal Mazza and husband, David, Sunbury, Ohio.  Two great-grandsons, Davie Mazza, Oakley Mazza, Sunbury, Ohio.   Two Nephews, Hal Martin, Jay Martin, and a niece, Kela Lindsay.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to care givers, Debbie Behrens, Vickie Parrot, Pam Johnson, June Farve, as well as the Cross Timber Hospice team Tina,  Pam and LuLu. Their sincere love and devotion to Clariece will never be forgotten.
