Through six games this season, the No. 2 Ardmore Tigers have faced all kinds of competition levels from opposing teams.

Beginning today, the Tigers will have to not only fend off that field, but defend their home court as well.

The annual Ardmore Holiday Classic tips-off today, with a total of eight teams from Texas and Oklahoma mixed. 

Ardmore will take the floor in first round competition this evening at 5 p.m., as the Tigers tangle with Keller Fossil Ridge from Texas. The Panthers enter the tournament with an overall record of 8-5.

Should the Tigers prevail, they would move into the semifinals Friday night where a matchup against Northeast Academy (0-7) or Fort Worth Nolan Catholic would await. 

Nolan Catholic enters this tournament with an overall record of 10-3 on the season.

The semifinal game for Ardmore would take place at 8 p.m. Friday night, while a loss would send them to the Consolation Bracket and a 2 p.m. Friday contest.

On the bottom half of the bracket, the first game of the day at 11 a.m. will feature the Southmoore Sabercats taking on the Del City Eagles, with the winner meeting either Putnam City West or Baytown Sterling from Texas Friday afternoon at 5 p.m. in the semifinals.

PC West currently enters the tournament ranked No. 9 in Class 6A in Oklahoma with an overall record of 4-3.

Del City meanwhile is the No. 12 ranked team in Class 5A with a 1-3 mark.

Southmoore is No. 18 in Class 6A with an overall record of 3-2.
