In their first tournament appearance of 2018, the No. 4 Ardmore Lady Tigers had the perfect way to start off the new year Thursday night.

The Lady Tigers moved to 10-0 on the season with a convincing 66-23 victory over Fort-Cobb Broxton in the opening round of the MidFirst Warrior Classic at Anadarko High School.

Ardmore led 22-3 after one quarter of play, before outscoring the Lady Mustangs 14-7 in the second to lead 36-10 at the half.

Defensively the Lady Tigers ramped up the pressure in the second half, limiting Fort Cobb-Broxton to just eight points in the third, before holding the Lady Mustangs to five points in the fourth.

Ardmore scored 16 points in the third and 14 in the fourth.

Tieronay Banks and Sierra Gordon led Ardmore with 16 points apiece, with Amaya Gordon scoring 12 points.

Ardmore will take on El Reno this evening at 6 p.m. in the semifinals of the tournament.
