Services for Lela Mae Cooper will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at Craddock Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Donny Custar officiating. Interment will follow at McAlister Cemetery. The family visitation were. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at the funeral home.
Lela was born in Overbrook on May 1, 1929, to Arch and Sallie (Farve) Marris. She passed away Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, in Marietta with family and friends by her side.  
Lela loved her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved cooking, visiting and meeting new friends and spending time with her family. She was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and she attended Plainview School and worked for years for Pruitt’s Produce.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Murrow Cooper; son, Ted Cooper; daughters, Anita Yelloweagle and Tracie Cooper; grandson, Raymond Kent; granddaughter, Janis Johnson; sister, Lula Parker; and brothers, Christian Marris, Leonard Marris, Bennett Marris and Ralph Marris.
Lela is survived by her daughter, Tessa Almond and her husband, Rex of Lone Grove; son, Lance Cooper and his wife, Michelle of Duluth, Minn.; sister, Allie Johnson and her husband, James of Ardmore; and granddaughters, Amie Cooper of Ardmore, Emily Cooper Ramirez of Kingston and Robin Kent of Lone Grove.
Pallbearers will be Trent Cooper, Cody Almond, Kyler Cooper, Cayden Spain, Jr. Thomas, Paul Johnson and Aaron Williams.
