There were a lot of firsts for the No. 4 Ardmore Lady Tigers Saturday night. 

Unfortunately, none of them were positive.

In the finals of the MidFirst Warrior Classic, the No. 8 Anadarko Lady Warriors managed to escape with a 43-39 victory at Anadarko High School.

The loss was the first for the Lady Tigers this season. 

Anadarko managed to hold a slim 13-11 lead over the Lady Tigers at the end of the first quarter.

However, the Lady Tigers appeared to have grabbed the momentum before halftime, outscoring the Lady Warriors 10-4 to lead 21-17.

But, in the third quarter the Lady Tigers managed just nine points, while Anadarko stole back the lead with 16 of its own.

A 10-9 fourth quarter in favor of Anadarko sealed the game.

J’Sades Ainsworth led Ardmore with 14 points in the game followed by Amaya Gordon with 12 points.

Sierra Gordon added eight points in the game. 

Ardmore (11-1) will be at home  for the first time in 2018 Tuesday night taking on the Durant Lady Lions with tip-off scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Ardmore High School Gymnasium.
