Graveside rites for June Rose Maddox, 86, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at the Crinerville Cemetery, with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating.
The family will receive friends at a time of visitation and support Monday from 6 to p.m. at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
A lifetime resident of this area, June was born to the late Lon E. Harris and Grace Scarbrough Harris, July 14, 1931 at Marietta, Oklahoma.  A graduate of Lone Grove High School, the class of 1949, she and Rufus Jess Maddox were married in Ardmore June 20th of that year. They had been married 32 years when Rufus passed away September 13, 1981.   She later was married to Luther E. Jones, who also preceded her in death, November 20, 2012.
June became the Manager of Peoples Federal Savings and Loan, later becoming Red River Federal, where she was employed for thirty-five years.  Her bright smile and pleasing personality was appreciated by all.
June passed away Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at the local hospital in Ardmore. 
A longtime member of Ardmore’s First Baptist Church, June enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.  Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of June’s life, she cherished the time spent them.
June is survived by her two sons, Greg Maddox and Rufus J. Maddox, Jr.; three grandchildren, Leah Maddox, Gregory Maddox, II and Stacie Holbrook; seven great-grandchildren, Eloyse, Oscar and Mavis Maddox;  Katelyn, Riley and Cody Rozzell and Scotty Pelkey; nephews, Lonnie and Barry Harris; also special friends, Dorothy Skinner, Jonnie Caldwell and Debbie Maddox.
In addition to her parents and husbands, June was preceded in death by two brothers, Travis and Weldon Harris.
Serving as bearers will be Scotty Pelkey, Gregory Maddox, II, Riley Rozzell, Doug McComber, Chelsea Marr and Jimmy Mahaffey.  Monty Jones is an honorary bearer.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Cross Timbers Hospice.
